as well as different means of transport.

holidays with your partner
Session 2:
Warm up: A quiz: Are you ready to travel to
the UK (the whole class)
Presentation: Collocations and words used
together, eg: book a ticket, catch a
train..
Practice: Watch a video (At a tourist info
office)
- Pay attention to vocabulary used.
Production: Role Play (pair work) with cue
cards.
- Prepare a dialogue asking for info
according to travel brochures at a tourist info office.
Session 3:
Warm up:
Presentation: Verbal tenses: past simple (used to+ inf) and present perfect
Practice: Listening about people talking
about travel experiences
- T/F statements
- Wh- questions
Production: Writing. Write a diary entry.
Imagine you are on holidays and write an entry in your diary talking about
your experiences. (send it by mail to the teacher)

7. Methodology

Organization and

The methodology will be active and
participative. Students will work individually, in pairs and the class as a
whole.
The teacher will provide the students with
the structures and vocabulary required, so they can understand, build their
knowledge and put it into practice.
New technologies are also used.
This unit is divided up into 3 consecutive
sessions of 50’ each.

OBJETIVOS DEL USO DE RECURSOS
Para seleccionar los recursos educativos en mi unidad didáctica Travelling (inglés-4ESO) lo primero que tuve en cuenta es la metodología empleada. Una vez definida ésta, hay que tener en cuenta los objetivos y criterios de evaluación, competencias básicas y sobre todo el contexto y aspectos culturales. Es muy importante el modo de realización de las actividades por parte del alumnado; si se deben realizar en parejas, grupos, etc..todo ello condicionará la elección de los recursos. El vocabulario y las estructuras elegidas tienen que ajustarse al contexto de la misma manera, en este caso el vocabulario del tema teniendo en cuenta el nivel de los alumnos y las estructuras gramaticales que les pueden ayudar a obtener los productos finales (a blog entry, a role play,..)
Otro aspecto muy importante es elegir recursos donde las cuatro destrezas sean desarrolladas. Si no puede ser en la misma actividad, buscar actividades que se complementen o la realización de una tarea final donde se vean implicadas las cuatro destrezas.
Desde mi punto de vista, la utilización de recursos que acerquen la realidad al alumnado es esencial. Por ello, dentro de mis unidades intento seleccionar vídeos de youtube actuales donde se ejemplifique situaciones reales para que los alumnos trabajen sobre ellas. En la web del British Council también aparecen vídeos interesantes. El siguiente enlace es que utilicé en mi unidad didáctica.
De las misma manera, en mi unidad le proporciono a los alumnos panfletos reales sobre lugares de interés de Londres para que ellos creen su propia situación simulando que están en la oficina de turismo utilizando el vocabulario y estructuras revisadas previamente.
Tengo que reconocer que el uso de la plantilla nos facilita la tarea al profesorado para poder preveer y analizar posibles problemas o dificultades que el alumno puede llegar a tener.
